Our Engagement Photos
Last month we had our engagement photos taken at Mack’s Apples in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Our fabulous wedding photographer, Marina Zinovyeva, is incredibly talented and easy to work with. She has a great eye for style and design and her creativity helped us think outside of the box with our photos making us unafraid to try less traditional engagement photo poses.
Originally, we didn’t plan on taking engagement photos, engagement photos just didn’t seem necessary to us. But, since our wedding package came with a mini-engagement session, we figured we might as well take advantage of it. I have to say, taking these photos was one of the best decisions we’ve made so far with our wedding planning (aside from saying yes to my wedding dress – which, by the way, is freaking awesome).
Photo shoot Location 1
During our engagement photo session, we were able to bring a change of clothes so we could switch outfits and locations halfway through the photo shoot. The first shoot location was at Mack’s Apples in their barn and near the pumpkin barrels. These are some of my favorite photos from the shoot. If you live in New England, then I highly recommend shooting at this location in October or November (it is simply beautiful!).
The second photo shoot location for our engagement photos was taken across the street from Mack’s apple farm in a more grassy wooded area. We both changed and wore jewel tones for these photos which really popped next to the fall foliage.
Since we are getting married at a vineyard, I purchased wine glasses with the name of our venue on them and used them as props for a few of the photos.
Overall, I would highly recommend to all engaged couples to take engagement photos if you are able to. It was a lot of fun and I will cherish these photos forever.
Hope you loved them as much as we do!
